On one hand, Fatherhood is a foundation and social support, carrying on our system, which is based on family and work. Family is the first and main educational agency in the State. A father is a moral, spiritual and affective reference for children.
The father, together with the mother, is a guarantee towards the State that family and children are kept in their physical and mind integrity.
A man at home is not only a second parent and an husband, He is necessary to show children what masculinity is.

The Father absence
Fatherhood is absent in western Countries nowadays. The man, who is basically far and limited to play the role of economical provider, cannot play his natural educational and social role within the family.
In Italy and Europe near to 40% of youngers live without biological father in the home.
This makes children, our future citizens, mothers and fathers of tomorrow, more alone and unable to face the great and complex challenge of life.
All researches and statistics (but also common sense helps) allow to understand why most suicides, omicides, crimes, violence, bullying, mind diseases, use of drugs and alcohol, school and marriage failures, etc., are due to the father's absence.
It is shown that a child with no parents or with only one parent is 5-10 times more prone to such problems. Today's society reflects a society where father is absent, a moral and mind absence, which is often also physical.
So We need to revalue fatherhood and the culture of father, in the single and in the community. Fatherhood is an institution, governments must defend it and bring it everywhere.

Think about it: The Ten Commandments, as described in the Old Testament, date back to the 12th century BC, 3,200 years ago.
They wrote: Do not bear false witness (do not lie), Do not steal or kill, Respect your parents, Do not betray or desire another's wife (or husband), Do not desire other people's stuff (do not be materialistic), Appreciate the holidays (Appreciate the good times)

Obviously these Texts can be improved today, but Think about this: The MEN who wrote these things 3000 years ago... are on average more intelligent than a person with a university degree today.
